What is test anxiety?

What is test anxiety? Test anxiety is when you get anxious just thinking about taking your test. If you think that you’re “bad” at taking tests, you might just have test anxiety.

You can go online and find several ways to help with test anxiety. The websites with that information might tell you to take a deep breath and count to 10. Well, this might work for some, but not most people.

How do you learn and practice this? Will it work, or not? You probably think that it won’t make a difference. It will work, just not that way.

After being a teacher, and finding out what works and what doesn’t, I wrote lesson plans that taught practical ways students can learn and use test anxiety coping skills. You’ll probably have test anxiety before and during a test.
