How to study? I’m sure that at one point in your school life, you were taught to study. Most students are given suggestions by their teachers, and encouraged to study before a test. Did this work? Probably not for most students.
You could have been taught, and decided that it didn’t work for you and developed your own style of studying (cramming.) You’re either good at taking tests, or thinking you’re “bad” at taking a test. What you really are is someone that can learn how to study so you can pass your test.
Back to your learning style. If you can learn how to study and organize your study materials in your specific learning style, you can pass your test.
Learning the content you need to get your certification is something you’re choosing to do, not having to do. This is one thing that will make a difference. Won’t it be great if you can learn how to study that content so you can pass your test?
Taking notes
So you need to take notes when you study. How do you do that? How did you do that in school? Again, you were probably only taught to take notes once, if that. And, the style that you were taught to take notes in was probably just highlighting or writing them in a notebook.
Yes, this might work for some people, but not all. And, if you weren’t taught how to take notes in your learning style, you probably developed a style that really didn’t work for you. This probably increased the belief that you aren’t any good at taking tests.
All you really need is to learn how to take notes and study in a way that makes sense to you, so you can remember the info for your test.
