  • How can you pass your test?

How can you pass your test?

You’re going for your certification, you’ve found the stuff you need to study, and now you just need to pass your test. You feel like you can do this. And, you can. You just need a foundation.

There are 2 types of people I’ve met when they talk about passing their tests. Either they’re great at taking tests, or they hate taking tests. The ones that are great at taking tests, may not get all of the answers right, but they passed their test with high grades. The one’s who hate taking test usual struggle in one or all of the areas that you’ll learn in Brainshi Course:
    Test Anxiety
    Studying
    Passing your test.

I’ve shared my take on Test Anxiety and studying, now it’s time to talk about passing your test.

Passing your test doesn’t mean 100% correct. 80% is still passing. There are tips and tricks to answering test questions correctly. I bet in the past, you’ve read a test question and thought-> none of this was anything I’ve studied. Or the answer options are so close to what I think is the right answer, I may as well guess.

In Brainshi Test Course, I concentrated on teaching about multiple choice answers. Most of the tests you’ll be taking are multiple choice tests. There is a way for you to figure out what the right answer is on a multiple choice test.

Either way, the knowledge you’ll learn in Brainshi Test Course will help you pass your test-whether it’s you first or 100th.

  • What is Executive Functioning?

    What is Executive Functioning?

How you organize your study material is called executive functioning. Executive functioning is how you organize and retrieve the materials you need for studying.

Here’s an example: You take notes for studying. How do you file them and find them again when you need them for when you’re ready to study from your notes?

Remember when you were in school and you had to keep a binder to show the teacher all of your work for that class? Yeah-that doesn’t work for most people.

When you learn your learning style, you’ll be taught how to organize your study material according to how you learn. If you’re visual, auditory or kinesthetic, you’ll learn strategies that will help you organize and retrieve your study materials in a way that makes sense for you.

  • How to study?

    How to study?

How to study? I’m sure that at one point in your school life, you were taught to study. Most students are given suggestions by their teachers, and encouraged to study before a test. Did this work? Probably not for most students.

You could have been taught, and decided that it didn’t work for you and developed your own style of studying (cramming.) You’re either good at taking tests, or thinking you’re “bad” at taking a test. What you really are is someone that can learn how to study so you can pass your test.

Back to your learning style. If you can learn how to study and organize your study materials in your specific learning style, you can pass your test.

Learning the content you need to get your certification is something you’re choosing to do, not having to do. This is one thing that will make a difference. Won’t it be great if you can learn how to study that content so you can pass your test?

    Taking notes
So you need to take notes when you study. How do you do that? How did you do that in school? Again, you were probably only taught to take notes once, if that. And, the style that you were taught to take notes in was probably just highlighting or writing them in a notebook.

Yes, this might work for some people, but not all. And, if you weren’t taught how to take notes in your learning style, you probably developed a style that really didn’t work for you. This probably increased the belief that you aren’t any good at taking tests.

All you really need is to learn how to take notes and study in a way that makes sense to you, so you can remember the info for your test.

  • When to study?

    When to study?

Trying to figure out study time and make it work with your schedule can be overwhelming. I’ve made some suggestions on how you can fit study time into your schedule, and make it work for you.

The times I’ve set up for you to study and incorporate Brainshi skills are just for the course.
In Brainshi, I recommend that you study for 30 minutes 3 times a week.

You may need more. I would HIGHLY recommend that you add more time for studying.
You can always add more time during the week, or on weekends.

Think of it this way- You’re taking your test to make better pay, or get a better schedule for your work. The time you need to study and prepare for your test is weeks, maybe months, but not years.
How important is it to you that you pass your test?

If it’s important, make the time to be prepared for your test. That means take the time to study.

I recommend that you use any available time you have to study and organize in preparation for your test. Keep studying until you feel prepared to take your test.

The more prepared you are, the easier it will be to pass your test.

The same goes for your practice tests. I’ve scheduled the time in Brainshi for you to try out your practice tests. Again, I HIGHLY recommend that you take as many practice tests you can after you finish Brainshi Test Course, and before your test. The more you practice, the easier it becomes, and you’ll be prepared to pass your test. Using all of the skills you’ve learned in Brainshi, and getting used to what might be on your test will leave you better prepared for the actual test.

Same goes for your reset meditation. Practice as often as possible, until it becomes comfortable.
Any of the Brainshi skills that you learn can be practiced as often as you need.

To sum it up,increase your study time, take more practice tests, and once you learn how, incorporate more Reset Meditations into your schedule.
